Peace River Center's Crisis Response Team (CRT) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer calls on the mental health crisis hotline and respond on-site to crisis situations in the community. They can provide immediate assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, linkage, referral, and follow-up services needed to promote crisis resolution

PRC also operates a Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). The CSU is the Baker-Act Receiving facility for Polk, Highlands and Hardee Counties. The CSU provides emergency psychiatric treatment and stabilization services to adults and children."

Peace River Center also operates 24-hour crisis lines at our Domestic Violence Shelters and Rape Recovery and Resource Center. Trained workers are able to take calls and answer questions, provide guidance and assess situations the caller may be in. Collect calls are accepted.
