In-school Mental Health Services
Peace River Center has partnered with Academy Prep to provide its Behavioral Health Services (BHS) on-site program at the Lakeland campus. BHS is part of Peace River Center Children’s Services department and uses a combination of individual, group, and family therapy to address the child’s mental health and social needs that might be creating obstacles for the child and their family. Once a brief assessment is completed by a licensed mental health counselor, the child is matched with a master’s level therapist who provides individualized support through weekly therapy.Pictured are Tiffani Fritzsche, Director of Children’s Services at Peace River Center, and Dr. Brett Foster, APL’s school counselor.
