Peace River Center Junior Advisory Board End of Year Showcase

6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Club SUCCESS, 600 El Paseo, Lakeland, FL 33805

Get an inside look at one of Peace River Center’s recovery programs (Club SUCCESS) and see everything our Junior Advisory Board has learned and accomplished this year, plus help us celebrate our seniors.

Wear Green to Support Mental Health Awareness

Supporters are encouraged to wear their own favorite green shirt, pants, or other apparel. Then upload a picture with the hashtag #LetsTalkPRC to social media channels to let people know they support Peace River Center and mental health awareness. Spread the word with our Facebook event.

Mental Health First Aid

8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at PRC Lakeland Crisis Campus, 715 N Lake Ave, Lakeland, FL 33801
Similar to CPR, this public education course teaches attendees how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. The training helps identify, understand and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses.

Highlands Board of County Commissioners Mental Health Month Proclamation

Join us as the Highlands County Commissioners read Peace River Center’s May Mental Health Month proclamation at their meeting.

Grab a cup coffee and let’s talk mental health! PRC staff will be on hand to answer questions about common misconceptions, ways to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, and more! Invite your friends to join you through our Facebook event.
