Full Moon Howl

Full Moon Howl, which began in 2002 as a small intimate gathering of friends supporting community mental health services, has transformed into an eagerly anticipated, large-scale event that raises meaningful funds to positively impact Peace River Center’s clients and meet its mission to engage, restore and empower individuals in our community to reach their fullest potential.

Full Moon Howl presented by Kelley Buick GMC takes place in February. This invite-only event begins with the annual Clay Pigeon Invitational in the late morning and is followed by an evening event, which draws more than 600 attendees together for camaraderie, food, drink, a live and silent auction, plus a live band and dancing.

The Coffee Benefit

The Coffee Benefit has a great history of bringing women together to support our community. This event allows us to share with one another while raising impactful dollars to improve the lives of children in our community and lift up individuals who are living in dangerous situations.

After pausing the Coffee Benefit for several years, in 2018 this meaningful event returned. Since reestablishing the event, generous donors have helped raise over $26,295.00 to benefit women and children served by PRC’s domestic violence shelter.

PRC’s Domestic Violence program is a free 24-hour service provided to our community. It enables individuals and their children to break free of their volatile living conditions through shelter services or transform their lives as they remain in the community through safety planning and additional resources.

So grateful for the ongoing support of our Coffee Benefit!

Learn More About the Virtual Run

Recovery is a Marathon, Not a Sprint Virtual Run

The Recovery is a Marathon, Not a Sprint Virtual Run was launched in 2020 to benefit Peace River Center’s Recovery Services, specifically our Club Success program. The virtual event is hosted during the national Mental Health Recovery month to create support and awareness around individuals walking in recovery of a mental illness. The goal is to run or walk 26.2 miles by the end of the month. Whether participants complete their miles in one day or little by little, their support and help to make others aware of Recovery Month is what matters most! The event also promotes community engagement and education through a Facebook group.

Awareness Months

Peace River Center also participates in national awareness months related to its mental health, mental illness, and victim services programs. These include Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Mental Health Awareness Month, Recovery Month, and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We encourage you to help us raise awareness about the importance of mental health and victim services by participating in the events during those months. Be sure to follow Peace River Center and PRC Victim Services on social media for statistics, useful resources, and other content during those awareness months and year-round.
