Peace River Center’s Director of Specialty Services Donna Rininger, LMHC, MCAP presented, “Tracing Trauma Through the Generations” in August of 2023 at the Florida Behavioral Health Association Conference in Orlando. Her session had more than 300 registered!

If you are looking for additional training on trauma, Donna shares how trauma impacts the brain in this recorded webinar. She also explores Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, an Evidence-Based Treatment. EMDR is recognized as one of the most effective forms of treating trauma. She reviews what conditions it works for, how treatment works, and what a typical session is like.

About Donna Rininger, LMHC, MCAP
Peace River Center Director of Specialty Services

Donna RiningerDonna is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Master’s Certified Addiction Professional and has worked at Peace River Center for more than 30 years in several different departments including Victim Services, Case Management, Children’s Advocacy Center, Children’s Therapist, Assertive Community Treatment, Addiction Services, Family Intensive Treatment, Forensics, and the Children’s Action Team. She currently serves as Director of Specialty Services. Donna is trained and certified in various evidence-based therapy techniques and serves as a consultant and trainer for those becoming certified in Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. She is also a Mental Health First Aid trainer for the community.
