Outpouring of Generosity
Community Partners Make the Holidays Extra Special
We are so fortunate to have such generous community partners who donated to the individuals and families we serve. This past holiday season warmed all of our hearts.
- Peter Golotko went above and beyond to make Christmas wishes come true for 300 children served by our Children’s Services programs and those either living in our domestic violence (DV) shelters or served by our DV outreach program.
- The Lakeland Margarita Ball Society collected toys for kids/teens served through our children’s programs and domestic violence program.
- Prime Meridian Bank provided enough bags to serve 200 people during our annual holiday bag-packing.
- First United Methodist Church and its congregation provided toiletry items and snacks for 200 holiday client bags.
- Prisbe Dental, Hanes for Good Sock Drive, and community members also helped provide items for those holiday client bags.
- Clayton’s Home donated gifts for the survivors and families in our domestic violence shelter.
- Bonnet Springs Park joined with our Behavioral Health Navigation teamed up to collect hygiene and toiletry items for our Care Coordination clients.
- The Polk County Clerk of Courts donated hygiene products and comfortable blankets to the adult participants at our Lakeland shelter.
- The Shoebox Project provided gifts for the survivors in our Victim Services.
- The Sebring Fire Department donated Christmas gifts to the survivors in our Sebring Safe House.
- Plus, there are tons of other quilting groups, churches, community groups, and individuals who have donated to make the holidays merry and bright for Peace River Center clients and families.
We cannot thank you all enough for your generosity!
